Greetings! "Multitude", Characteristic Pitches' new CD with Robin Eubanks is making its first appearances in the media. I was informed of radio passages in the US and Italy and a great review on MusicBoom.

Hi all, it's been a little while since my last update... what an euphemism, it's been two years! Sorry about that.
On the bright side I have great news. I have been away from this online home of mine, but for a good reason. I have been quite busy working on a new project and am happy to announce that it is finally finding its way into the world.
I composed a lot of music over the last two years and some of it got into my new recording with the Characteristic Pitches. Guest artist acclaimed trombonist Robin Eubanks joined us in the studio and the result, MULTITUDE, is about to be released by Silta Records. Just in time for the holidays.

Main news this time regard the distribution deal that Silta Records arranged with IRD. Silta CDs (including Night Dancers) will now be sold in Record Stores throughout Europe, the USA and Japan. Sounds good to me!
I added another feature to the upcoming shows page, now you can see the posters of our upcoming concerts and, if you wish, you can support us by printing it out and posting it wherever you feel appropriate! ... please be considerate, though! ;-)
From now on you can also visit me on MySpace, I created my profile and am looking forward to meet you!
I have also added a video player to the Audio page that now, obviously, has been renamed Audio/Video. Check it out!
Finally, but most important, I'm working on the organization of an Italian (and perhaps European) tour that will take place the upcoming spring. Whoever wishes to contact me with a gig proposal is welcome to do it here, especially if you are reading this from a neighboring country!

Here I am again with a new update of the site, there's a lot to say so let's get to it right away...
I received a report about a new radio play of Night Dancers, we are always happy about that. This time the CD was aired by the French RCV 99 fm on the show "My Favorite Things". Merci Beaucoup!
Great news I'm really excited about regard my becoming official endorser of UFIP Earcreated Cymbals. It was in the air and finally last week it became real. A few days ago I was their guest in the headquarters in Pistoia (Tuscany-Italy) where I had a chance to witness their production process stage by stage. It is quite fascinating to see how a product of such high quality and diffusion is handmade piece by piece! President Mr. Luigi Tronci in person and his staff were really friendly and supportive to me and spent all the time I needed helping me out with the selection of the cymbals that best suit my needs. There were many great options and the final picks resulted in a set that just makes me smile at the mere sight, those cymbals sound amazing! Thanks a lot!
Many thanks to Giorgio Incontri, UFIP's chief manager for the Campania region, and to Maxi Canevaro, who converted a weekend of working into an opportunity.

News in this update of the site regard a number of new reviews (including an interview for Jazzitalia).
"Night Dancers" keeps being radio broadcasted: by now we have touched the US, Ireland (RTÉ), New Zealand and Italy (where recently Radio 3 broadcasted "Just a Story" nationwide).
Finally I have modified the Store page. There are some new features for you to check out!

Night Dancers is getting nice reviews!!

The cd has also been broadcasted again, this time in Italy, on Punto Radio, in the show Anima Jazz directed by Bruno Pollacci (n.228) of October the 25th.

Welcome!
Here is the new "summer version" of the site. I have finally completed most of the sections and added a new one with Links to interesting places on the web.
"Night Dancers" is not out yet but on the Store page you'll find some info about it. The release is scheduled for late July (about a month!).

Welcome!
Sorry for taking so long before updating the site! I'm working on a new layout and on those unfinished sections. Summer is getting close and it is time to put on a new dress. I promise I'll do my best to make all the changes soon!
I have news regarding our album "Night Dancers".
By now I just anticipate that the CD has been "embraced" by an Italian Jazz Label!
The release is scheduled for July and by then I promise you'll find all the info.

Welcome!
Here you’ll find information about Drummer/Composer Paolo Lattanzi: Audio and Videoclips, Pictures, Concert Schedule and so on. Soon in the “Store” section it will be possible to buy the first album of the Paolo Lattanzi Group and others of related musicians.
Here we are! Finally the website is open and functional! Well, at least a good part of it, some sections are still in construction but… HEY! One thing at a time! Shortly I will complete all those features and eventually add a couple more such as a “Lessons” page with information for who would like to contact me as an instructor and more “Links” to cool places on the web.
The year 2005 brought quite a number of exciting events that started with an “experimental” version of my project as a leader, got through my graduation at the Berklee College of Music, and culminated with a whole day, extremely gratifying, recording session that immortalized the Group’s first album!
My main focus at the moment is on my project, you will find more information about it following the “Paolo Lattanzi Group” link. We are preparing this season’s calendar of gigs in the Boston/New York areas (or wherever else) and also working hard on the organization of a western European “tour” in Spain, France and Italy that will happen this summer… stay tuned!
