Projects

Paolo's first project as bandleader is Paolo Lattanzi Group. In the fall of 2005 he put together four talented musicians (Nikolay Moiseenko, Aurelien Budynek, Pau Terol and Marco Panascia) and realized a long awaiting idea: recording his own original compositions. The result was Night Dancers, released through Silta Records the following summer.

Following the release of the CD the group performed in several clubs in Boston and New York, including Smalls Jazz Club and The Beehive and involving a variety of musicians (Nikolay Moiseenko, Evgeny Lebedev, Ignacio Long, Hyunwoo Han, Alex Gordeev, Andrew Krasilnikov).

Currently Paolo is working on a new project called "Characteristic Pitches". While at its present stage this group performs his compositions exclusively, the idea behind it is to develop into a more organic collective, working with fellow band mates Rick Stone, Daniel Rosenthal, Lefteris Kordis and Greg Loughman.
